HireHunch accepts technical interviewers who have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on engineering experience at a reputable tech company. Interviewers from Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Swiggy, Zomato, Razorpay, CRED, and equivalent companies are especially welcome. You must be proficient in at least one of our 30+ supported technical domains and pass a calibration session before going live. Both full-time employees and freelancers are eligible to apply.
Earnings depend on your availability and the volume of interviews you take on. You set your own schedule - there are no minimum commitments. Compensation is paid per completed session, with additional incentives for high-rated interviewers. Many active interviewers on our panel conduct 8–15 sessions per month alongside their full-time roles. Payouts are processed regularly and you maintain full control over how many sessions you accept.
The process has three steps: (1) Apply online by submitting your profile, domain expertise, and work experience. (2) Our team reviews your application and schedules a calibration interview - a mock session where we assess your interviewing technique, communication, and technical depth. (3) Once approved, you're onboarded, trained on our evaluation rubric, and matched with your first interviews within a few days. The entire process typically takes 5–7 business days.
Quality is maintained through a combination of structured rubrics, candidate ratings, and periodic peer reviews. Every interviewer must follow a standardised evaluation framework for each role. After each session, candidates rate their experience - interviewers must maintain above 4.3 stars to remain active on the panel. Our team also conducts random quality audits on session recordings to provide coaching and feedback.
Interviewing on HireHunch is treated as professional services income. A 10% TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) is applied to all payouts in compliance with Indian tax regulations. KYC verification via PAN card is required before your first payout. Detailed earnings statements are available in your dashboard for tax filing. Regular payouts are processed on a set schedule each month.
Yes - the majority of HireHunch interviewers conduct sessions alongside full-time engineering roles. You set your own availability and only accept interview slots that fit your calendar. Most sessions are 45–60 minutes and are scheduled well in advance. There are no weekly minimums, so you can take on as many or as few interviews as your schedule allows. Many interviewers use it as a meaningful side income with zero disruption to their primary job.
